Naturalist and writer Terry Domico spends his summers in the San Juan Isands of Washington State. When the weather turns cold, he heads to Australia. His report on Australia’s commercial kangaroo harvest appeared in the March 2000 issue of Natural History. He is also the author of a number of books about nature, including Natural Areas of the San Juan Islands (Turtleback Books, 2007). He is currently working on a book about Australia’s historic prickly pear cactus plague.
